The Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene (WLSH), University of Wisconsin-Madison is recruiting an Assistant Director for the Cytogenetic and Molecular Genetics services.
This position also includes a joint appointment as Assistant Professor (CHS track) with the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at UW-Madison.
The duties of the Assistant Director include providing technical and compliance oversight, preparation and review of cytogenetics and molecular genetics case reports, client consultation, assay development and undergraduate/graduate/professional teaching/training. (70% clinical service, 30% teaching/academic activities) This position is a resource to the unit manager, section supervisors and approximately 20 FTE's. As Assistant Director, this position will carry out method development and research activities related to the WSLH service and public health mission.
