The Department of Pediatrics of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine seeks two clinical laboratory geneticists. The holder of this non-tenure-track position at assistant professor to professor rank will practice at OU Health. Besides providing clinical case sign out in cytogenetics and molecular genetics, the successful candidate will conduct collaborative or independent scholarship and teach cytogenetics and molecular genetics. Allocation of effort is flexible, with clinician, clinician-educator and clinician-scientist tracks available.
-Requirements:
MD, DO, PhD, or equivalent degree
board certification or eligibility in Clinical Cytogenetics, Clinical Molecular Genetics, or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics)
experience with next-generation sequencing
proficiency in clinical laboratory administration, including assay development and quality management
Interest in bioinformatics would be a plus.
