[Job Posting Alert]Clinical Cytogeneticist Position at the Johns Hopkins Medicine

The Department of Pathology, Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine invites applications for a full time, tenure track faculty position. This is an opportunity to lead a stellar team in new, state of the art facilities. Applicants at all levels will be considered. There are opportunities to lead the section in prenatal and constitutional cytogenetics with an emphasis on novel technologies. In addition, clinical and/or research involvement in an active cancer cytogenetics section is anticipated.


The position involves diagnostic service, teaching, and participation in research. The extent of the research focus will depend on whether the selected candidate pursues the clinical excellence or scholarship track towards promotion. The successful candidate will hold an academic appointment in the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and a medical or affiliate staff appointment in the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Applicants must have an M.D. or Ph.D. degree or M.D./Ph.D. degrees, be Board certified or Board eligible by the ABMGG in Clinical Cytogenetics or in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics with an emphasis in Cytogenetics.
