The Department of Pathology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine is recruiting Clinical Laboratory Geneticists as the Assistant professor in the Appointment Stream for the Cytogenetics Laboratories at the UPMC Medical Genetics and Genomics Laboratories. The primary responsibility will include analysis and interpretation of results, preparation and reviewing of final test reports, and reporting of karyotyping, FISH, and microarray analysis in oncological, prenatal, and postnatal specimens.
Qualifications: MD/DO and/or PhD candidates that are ABMGG-Certified or Eligible for Certification in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG) or Cytogenetics are welcome to apply. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in cytogenetic testing of oncology specimens, and to candidates with experience in development of new molecular and cytogenetic tests such as Optical Genome Mapping.
