The Department of Pathology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) affiliated with Harvard Medical School is recruiting a full-time Assistant Laboratory Director for its Cytogenetics Laboratory. Applicants must hold an MD, MD/PhD or PhD and be board certified in Clinical Cytogenetics and Molecular Genetics/Pathology. The position involves co-direction of a comprehensive cytogenetics laboratory including chromosome analysis, FISH, and chromosomal microarray on neoplastic and constitutional specimens. Continuous development and implementation of new cutting-edge cytogenetic tests and technology platforms will be an important component of this position.
The candidate will be appointed to the full-time faculty of Harvard Medical School at an academic rank commensurate with experience.
Candidates with existing strong extramurally funded research programs are encouraged to apply and will be supported by start-up support and research space.
